Shamrock Shakes

Dela Chicky Hearts You

There are some of us who have been planning for a special Valentine's Day a month ago.  Some may be having heart palpitations on their way to the nearest pharmacy or grocery store for last minute shopping.  Some may just think that it's just another day.  Doesn't matter where you stand about Valentine's Day, say or show that you love to somebody!  It shouldn't take Valentine's Day to say or show those three words either.  Whether or not you celebrate Valentine's day... Dela Chicky hearts YOU all day every day!!

I've been on a little hiatus from my etsy shop recently due to the holidays. That doesn't mean that I wasn't busy tinkering. Well folks due to the high demand of the owl ornaments, I've started making Valentine themed owls. These lovelies will be posted very soon in my shop. I hope that you like them!

On to the Next....Year 2012

It's been a while since my last post.  As the weeks and days got closer to the holidays, the "to do" list got longer and longer.  There has been less time for me to work on this blog.  However, finally today I have a little time to post about the past few days.

Christmas with my family includes two big yummy meals in one day.  Brunch at my mom's where I made the B: ham and egg hash brown pie and a T: traditional Filipino Christmas dinner at my aunt's house.  Both meals were followed by opening of presents.  When my sister, cousins, and I were younger Christmas usually was an all day event, sometimes two.  However, as we got older some of us have moved away out of state, or out of the country but we still try to continue our traditions year after year.

One of my family's Christmas traditions is the passing of the Chia.  Long story, but this is the third Chia we've had ever since we started.  This year I got it!

Dela Chicky and Ella Elephant and I hope that everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Fabulous New Year!  Spend time with family and friends who truly care about you, and make sure you do - you!

How was Thanksgiving?

Hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday and survived the long lines of Black Friday.  Tomorrow is "Small Business" day so please go support the local shops in your community!

You Know What They Say in the Caribbean: Yea Mon!

My husband and I finally sailed away again for a week in the Caribbean.  It was definitely relaxing and exciting seeing new and different sights, eating exotic foods, and just sitting in white sand turquoise blue waters.  After this trip, we are already looking forward to our next.  It wasn't that hard to get our sea legs once we arrived on the boat.  Knowing what to expect definitely helped.  I did have to take medication for sea-sickness the first day, but surprisingly I didn't need it for the rest of the trip.  There were a few rainy days, but honestly I didn't care because I was on vacation!

I took along Dela Chicky the traveling owl.  Check out the pictures and see where we've been.

We love non-stop flights!  Very small planes, not so much.  Either way it was a great trip!

Every night there was a towel animal that was made for us!  I was very tempted to get the book for making these animals, but come on would I really make them?
