Candy Colors

When this time of the year comes around, there's always one thing that makes me head off to the stores.  After Valentine's Day and St. Patricks Day has ended, the stores are filled with Easter candies, decorations, cards, plastic grass, plastic eggs, etcetera etcetera etcetera.  Peeps...meh not too into them.  Cadbury Eggs.. don't really like the center part.  Jelly beans... chewy candy isn't really for me.  I pretty much bypass everything and head straight toward the Cadbury Mini Eggs.  Yessireeee.  So I happily purchased a bag just for the photos on this post.  Yay!  Seriously I just bought one.......
It all started in college when my dear friend Ping introduced them to me.  She would usually get the economy size warehouse super duper size and bring it over.  I don't remember how long this said bag of candy would last with our group of friends.  Most likely didn't last very long.  Ever since then, I have been addicted to this chocolatey goodness with the sugary and crunchy candy shell outside.  I have tried the dark chocolate version, and am personally not a big fan.  I would rather stick to the original milk chocolate.  Don't let me see these because it would be over.  You'd have to cut me off.  I'm serious.  For real.  Over!
Anyway besides my crazy obsession with this candy, I must say that I am also loving the pastel colors  which definitely go with the season and what's on trend at the moment.  I love food, especially when it translates to fashion, don't you?  [I would rather do that than think of the calories]  These are all pieces (similar color/style) that I have already.  Some new and some newly thrifted.  Either way, I'll be ready for this season.  I'd love to do a fashion post one day, but I'll have to get prepared for that.  We shall see.  I might have to get some tips and advice from my fashion blogger friends out there.

Thursday Inspiration: Handmade is so much better

Did you start making homemade gifts for your friends and loved ones?  Still stumped?  You don't need expensive craft tools and supplies to make something special, nor do you need to master sewing, knitting, or crocheting.  All you need are your hands and maybe some other things that you may already have handy at home.  There are so many.... numerous....no.. millions of things you can find at a craft store that are already pre-cut, pre-made...and all you need is glue...you do have some glue, right?  Well, I kept this Thursday Inspiration a continuation from the last because I know you can make something for someone this holiday season.  If you've already started your holiday crafting please feel free to post and share what you're making.  Don't worry I won't tell.  If you have any questions about "how to" make something, go ahead and ask because I may be able to answer, and if not, I may know someone who knows someone...who does.  In the meantime, here are some cute and great ideas that I think some of you might like to try.  Hope that they spark some creativity!

Happy crafting!
XOXO

Thursday Inspiration: Handmade Gift Giving for the Holidays

It's the season of giving.  Can't believe it's already that time of the year.  Around this time I usually like to make handmade gifts for my family and close friends just to make their presents a little extra special.  Giving someone a handmade product does take time, but it just means so much more because of it.  Will you be making handmade goodies for the holidays this year?  I can't even tell you how long my list is, but hopefully the recipients will like what they get.

There are so many tutorials out there if you're willing to take the time to make something for someone, so you should start now!  I actually wished that I started "making" in July!
Here's a list of some of the great sites online with with great gift ideas:

Thursday Inspiration: Relaxation Needed

I can't help but post about my upcoming vacation.  In a few days my husband and I will be sailing away in the Caribbean for the second time.  I'm pretty excited since it would be nice to see clear waters and white sand beaches again.  And did I mention the rum punch is more rum than punch there?  So for those who have been working day in and day out every work week, I suggest planning a trip whether it's across the world, a weekend getaway, or a day trip.  Do it.  It'll be refreshing, no lie!

Go on an adventure!

Thursday Inspiration

So my inspiration this week is that four letter word...no not that one...not that one either...
LOVE
Yup, that one.
My husband and I are going to be celebrating our ten years of togetherness this month,
so I thought this would be a perfect time to post something LOVE-ly.
Have a wonderful week everyone!

XOXO

Thursday Inspiration: Make Me Laugh

Life can get really stressful at times.  It get get so overwhelming that we don't even know what to do next.  If there were more minutes in the day you'd actually take it just to accomplish everything you need to do.  Sometimes we get to a breaking point where we can't take it...get frustrated.  Then the next best thing to do is laugh.  Laugh really hard that you snort.  It's good for you.

These might get a chuckle or two...
Let me know what you think...

Thursday Inspiration

Making, creating, tinkering...I love doing all of the above.  It is important to have a creative outlet to de-stress and be more in tune with one's imagination.  Go find something that you like to do besides what you normally do...paint, doodle, cross stitch, embroider, knit, or write...

Go do something that will get your creative juices flowing!

Thursday Inspiration

I need to freshen up the Etsy shop soon.  Every Thursday, I'll be posting pictures that will be inspirations for future dela chic products, blog posts, or just that - inspiration for daily life.  Here's a few pictures to start off this on going weekly post.
