Week In Pictures: Trece

1 A new patterned midi skirt perfect for the start of summer.  I was going to get a black and white one, but didn't have my size.  I opted on the turquoise and navy blue, and I am glad I did.

2 Had dinner with my Ma at my favorite Thai restaurant.

3 Official start of the summer means a gigantic iced coffee!

4 Summer is not complete without sunflowers.

5 My husband and I had dinner with our friends at a Mexican restaurant.  I had shrimp quesadillas.  It was nice to catch up over drinks and great food.

6 Non fat (tart) frozen yogurt with mango, blueberries, raspberries, mochi, and chocolate rocks.  Yea I had to see what was up with the chocolate rocks.  Not a bad addition.

7 Checked out The Webster Collection that's on sale at Target.  Not bad, but I kind of just bought a dress recently.  Ok, not kind of...I did buy a dress a few days ago...and shoes.

8  Another blogger meet up success with local bloggers.  Got to hang out with familiar faces and met new new blogger friends.  What a great day.  You already know that there's a post coming up about this!

9 A relaxing end to a busy week and great weekend spent with In Style and Essie.

Week In Pictures 10.0

First off, just wanted to apologize for the lack of posts last week.  Sometimes it's ok to take a little break, right?

1 Mangoes are my ultimate favorite fruit.  Hands down!!

2 Summer means time for some peaches....
"movin' to the country...gonna eat me a lot of peaches"

3  Another pair of black flats.  Are you counting?

4 Took out my lace top from storage.

5 Another summery piece from storage.  This dress always makes me want to sing...
"fly, robin fly...up up to the sky".

6 Lounging with the puppy.

7 Feels like this weekend was just all about eating..This is Texas Roadhouse bread - irresistible.

8 Brunch with the family.  This was my husband's order: Barbacoa Waffe [Belgian corn waffle points topped with pepper jack cheese, poached eggs, and Sausalito hollandaise sauce.  Served with slow cooked beef and side of potatoes.

9 I settled with a veggie omelet, but envied my husband's breakfast haha.

Week In Pictures 9.0

1  My husband gathered all of our old cell phones in the house to donate.  Crazy how much technology has changed over the past few years.  I remember my first ever cellphone with the pull out antennae.

2  So when the show Thirty Something was one of the television series to watch, I don't think I was allowed to watch it.  I found this at the dollar store during the week.  I thought that I would be able to relate to it better now.  The whole first season for a buck!! Can't beat that.

3  Someone needed some lobster claws.  Made these out of felt, elastic, and some easy hand stitching.

4  Forgot about these sequined black flats.  I really do have a lot of black flats.  Thankfully each pair is different from the other...besides the color.

5  I wore my striped knit dress with a chambray shirt and a yellow belt.  I don't know how to dress for the weather we've been having in CT lately.  Hot, then chilly, muggy, sprinkling of rain, then thunderstorm.  Go figure.

6  Started my weekend early on Friday.  My husband and I had lunch at my favorite restaurant.  What's a Mexican meal without Modelo Especial?!

7  I've been seeing and hearing about Talenti Gelato all over the social networks recently, specifically on Instagram.  I finally remembered to get it at Target.  It definitely is what everyone said...so good!! Especially this particular flavor.  If you haven't tried it, you need to.

8  My husband picked this flavor.  I wasn't a big fan.  I definitely liked the sea salt caramel much better.  Let me know if you try either one, or different flavors.  I'd like to know what you think.

9  Went to Nordstrom Rack and found these Sam Edelman loafers with spikes.  It was one of the most comfortable shoes I've ever tried on.  Kind of weird since they have spikes, but really they were like buttah!!  Unfortunately I didn't buy them since they were a wee over my budget.

Hope you all had a wonderful week!!

Week in Pictures 8.0

1  I don't think a week is complete without wearing stripes these days.

2  I think I'm in love with duck tape especially now that it comes in so many different colors and fun patterns.

3 New to me pair of shoes from Auntie's Vintage Boutique.

4  Wore my bright green Old Navy dress during the weekend.  Perfect for the (finally) sunny weather.

5 Starbucks iced coffee - I treated myself.

6 We got a new ride.  I've always wanted a black car.  I can finally say I have one.

7 I've been obsessed with strawberries lately.

8 Made some beaded bracelets.

9 Big project last week for the birthday party that I went to.  Will be posted soon!

Week In Pictures 7.0

1  My new pair of studded shoes from Nordstrom Rack.  Because new shoes makes Mondays more exciting, Meli of Blush and Jelly coined a new hashtag #newshoesmonday.

2  Got sick early in the week.  Soup always makes me feel better.
This time I ordered Pho from my favorite restaurant.

3  I've been looking for a guava/passion fruit juice mix ever since I had it on my first cruise.
I found two separate juices at the grocery store and mixed it.  Ahh memories.

4  When my aunt's dog comes over, she always hogs the bed.
My pup has the pink shirt, almost falling off.

5  My blue patent leather shoes reminded me of Tardis.

6  Met up with some lovely bloggers at the end of the work week.
Post coming up tomorrow!

7  Went to NYC to visit my favorite little girl.  Here she is with the presents I brought her:
a solar powered dancing flower and a crocheted hippo.

8  Went to Eataly before heading back.

9  Waiting at a seafood place for our Mother's Day feast.  There was no cooking allowed that day.

My Week in Pictures 6.0

I'm trying a new collage program guys.  Please bare with me.  I know my collage keeps changing over the past few weeks.  Hopefully I'll find the right program soon.  Any suggestions are much appreciated!

1  New patent leather flats from Target.  Looks like these might become a favorite.
2  Paired a vintage pleated shirt with a gray cardi.
3  My little gal finally got groomed! She's so purrrty.
4  Wearing my navy and black striped shirt (reminds me of Courtney) with my thrifted blazer and plastic antler necklace from Grime.
5  Felt very nautical-ish with my striped navy blue and cream blazer and vintage-y with my brooch.
6  Celebrated Cinco de Mayo at my favorite Mexican restaurant that I've been going to ever since I was in high school.  I had my margarita fix.
7  Finally went to Nordstrom Rack to see what the hype was about.  I saw these "killer heels" with spikes and just had to take a picture of it [way too high and expensive for me].

My Week in Pictures 5.0

1  The weather took a turn to the very chilly side.  I wished that I had socks on this day.
I hate when my feet are cold!
2  The hubby requested spicy Italian sausage and peppers.  Had some tri colored
peppers handy for the very easy-to-make meal.
3  Started a new special project that will be shipped to Brooklyn!
4  A week isn't complete without a trip to Target.  Saw this necklace in the jewelry department and thought about doing a simple DIY in the future [yes, adding it to my growing list].
5  Another cold and chilly day during the week forced me to wear some tights.
6  My weekend started early with a trip to Boston!! This is what you'd see when you get out of the tunnel on exit 22.  I love Boston, but I definitely do not miss the traffic.
7  A simple lace top that I made paired with a cardigan and a necklace, also made by me.
8  My friends' little munchkin.  Folks, she loves her accessories, shoes, and handbags already.
I told her parents that they're in trouble!
9  A visit to my friends' home means waking up before the alarm goes off to two boys playing with Pokemon, watching cartoons, and then playing Super Mario on Wii.  Loved it!

My Week in Pictures 4.0

First off I want to say that I'm a little sad that Picnik is gone.  I've used the photo editing program ever since I started this blog and I'm now on the lookout for an easy program without spending a lot of money. If anyone has any suggestions or advice, please let me know.

1  Never thought that I would buy a pair of leopard loafers, but I've been on a hunt for a while ever since I saw a pair in a magazine.  Didn't want to spend a lot on them, so I waited to get a 20% coupon for Kohls and then snagged me a pair!
2  Finally started my color block project.  Don't worry I'll be posting it once it's done.  I can't wait.
3  These leopard loafers needed two pics this week.  When the weather finally cooled down, I paired it with some bright blue pants.  I hope my fashion blogger friends approve?!
4  Happy - want a treat?!
5  Finally doodled up a quick cartoon for my friend Haley of http://www.thezenofmaking.com/ after posting a soy milk carton, and discussing over it on Instagram.
6  Tried a new curry sauce that my mother in law suggested.  Not bad at all.
7  Got away for a few days and went to Massachusetts to visit my friends.
8  Passing by Beantown makes me miss it all the time.
9  A gloomy day to head back home, but happy to be back.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend.

The Full Rodizio

There's nothing like starting the weekend a day early.  My husband happened to have the same day off, so we took the opportunity to get out of town.  We drove southbound toward New York and ended up at Rodizio Gtill.  We've had Brazilian food before, but we've never had this one yet.  I actually took some notes from a blog post that a fellow CT blogger Denise of Dee Cuisine wrote about the establishment.  Since it was lunchtime on a Friday, the place was not busy at all.  We had the full rodizio which meant we were able to have the buffet, apps, and all the grilled meat we wanted.  I just have to say that if anyone is planning on going there or to any Brazilian restaurant, make sure that you don't eat all day before you go or you wear elastic waist pants.
getting lost is part of the adventure
destination for the day
red means no more meat green means keep it coming
banana frita
polenta frita
pao de queijo
limeade
caipirinha
caipetuba
happy with his Brazilian limeade
no pictures please, not ready
posing like tourists
