Week In Pictures 19.0 NYC

Snapshots of a memorable weekend in NYC with college friends for this week's WIP.  It's been three years since we all were together.  We traveled from three different states, and even though it was only a little more than twenty four hours - we still managed to take in as much as we can of New York and make more memories where we can say "remember when..?".  Note to self: wear better shoes next time - ouch.
Grand Central Station

Rockefeller Center

Brunch at Lexington Brass started with mimosas and bellinis which went along well with a burger and a side of truffle oil fries / Dinner at Sushi Samba Seven was amazing with out of this world tapas style dinner, a pitcher of caipirinha, sushi, and great music / Yummy omelet and rich dark coffee at The National.

The Chrysler Building was always close by / Passed by the Philippine Consulate - represent / Did some window shopping and scoped out the sales at Zara and Joe Fresh / Just our luck - a street fair!

How was your week?

Giving Handmade

So my friend is going to have her baby very soon.  I finally put together a little package before their bundle of joy comes.  I went to her whale themed baby shower a month ago and I figured I wanted to go along with this theme, being that it's also the nursery theme.  I sewed up some whale softies: a dark blue and polka dotted one (which were on her baby shower invites too) and ordered other handmade goodies from Etsy.  Do you like giving handmade gifts to friends and family??
Polka dotty whale handmade by me.
Dark blue whale...this one was a little trickier to sew compared to the other (for whatever reason).
Whales that color coordinate together, stick together.  Aww.
Mommy to be took a picture of the whales in the room.  So adorable!
Whale necklace made by Laonato. How perfect for the mom-to-be!

Night Out With My Studded Clutch

All of us have had at least one of those weeks.  The kind of week that you want to just slam your head to a wall.   Yea, that kind of week.  Sometimes a night out with my husband or with a few friends can alleviate the stress that could be hanging on my shoulders, make the nagging headache suddenly go away, and the eye twitching stops.  I can keep going.  This outfit was inspired by my fancy brass fastener clutch.  Channeling my inner party animal...kind of.  I do foresee some fruity libations in the near future.
